About the Position
Summary
Catholic Central High School is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Director of Advancement to help lead the next chapter of the school’s rich history.
The Director of Advancement will play a central role in this momentum. Reporting directly to the President and serving on the senior leadership team, this leader will guide a comprehensive advancement program that brings together fundraising, marketing, and community engagement into a unified strategy that inspires generosity and deepens relationships across our community.

Job Duties
Advancement Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy aligned with the school’s mission and strategic priorities.
Foster a culture of generosity and shared stewardship throughout the school community.
Provide leadership across development, marketing and communications, alumni and constituent engagement, and senior leadership team.
Report regularly to the President and Advancement Committee on goals, progress, and outcomes.
Lead all philanthropic efforts, including annual giving, major and leadership gift procurement, foundations and grants, and planned giving.
Establish revenue goals and performance metrics.
Constituent Engagement and Relationship Management
Ensure coordinated relationship management across the full constituent lifecycle: prospective families, current families, alumni, donors, sponsors, and legacy partners.
Oversee alumni, parent, and community engagement strategies that build long-term loyalty.
Partner closely with the President on the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors.
Oversee the development of mission-aligned corporate and community partnerships.
Ensure sponsorships are professionally managed and integrated into the broader advancement effort.
Team Leadership, Administration, and Operations
Lead and develop the advancement team with clarity, accountability, and a mission-centered approach; set priorities, define roles, and align team efforts.
Oversee advancement operations, including budgets, vendors, CRM/database management, gift processing, prospect research, reporting, and stewardship.
Establish efficient workflows, systems, and performance dashboards.
Use data and reporting to inform strategy, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Marketing and Communications
Provide strategic oversight of marketing and communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and trust.
In conjunction with the President, align advancement communications with admissions, the principal, and community messaging.
Champion storytelling that highlights mission impact and gratitude.
Safeguard the integrity of the school’s mission and brand in all communications.
Board and Volunteer Engagement
Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Advancement Committee of the Board.
Support Board members and volunteers in appropriate and effective advancement engagement.
Provide clarity, tools, and guidance to support governance-level fundraising.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Practicing Catholic strongly preferred.
Five years of progressive experience in advancement or related leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in relationship-based fundraising, including major gifts.
Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
Strong strategic, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
