About the Position

Summary

The Executive Director is the corporate administrative leader, responsible for managing all of the affairs of the organization under the general oversight of the Board of Directors.  In this position, primary roles include identifying organizational and community needs, program development, program management, financial development, human resources, and organizational promotion. The ED provides direction and leadership to achieve the organization’s mission through annual goals and objectives, implementing the strategic plan. 

Job Duties

Functional Responsibilities:

Board Administration and Support. Supports operations and administration of the board by advising and informing board members, interfacing between board and staff.

Program and Service Delivery. Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services.

Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management. Recommends yearly budget for board approval; manages organization’s resources within those budget guidelines.

Human Resource Management. Effectively manages the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies.

Community Relations and Fund Raising. Assures the organization is consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.

Projects. Other operations and initiatives as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of administrative and leadership experience.

Bachelor degree within a related field.

Graduate degree and professional certifications preferred.

Evidence of strong leadership and management skills.

Proven track record of planning, organization, and business development.

Outstanding interpersonal skills; track record of building and motivating teams.

Exceptional marketing, promotional, and presentation ability.

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication ability.

Budget development and fund raising experience.

Prior experience in the non-profit sector preferred.

Prior grant writing experience preferred.

Strong financial analysis skills.
