To Do or Not to Do an Annual Report

April 1 @ 7:50 am - 9:00 am

Guest Speaker: Kent Vanderwood, AFPWM Board Member

This is a question many non-profits will ask from year to year; and one that ALL should ask. It is that important. As fundraising professionals, we all care about our mission and making a difference in the world. Trying to cover everything we do in a year into one engaging document can be challenging; but it can be done. Some questions we will address are: Why create an annual report? What is its purpose? What should we include in our report? Is our annual report a valuable fundraising tool? When is the best time of year to distribute the report? We will discuss some “best practices” for writing an annual report.

Kent Vanderwood is a current AFPWM board member and has been involved in the organization for 15 years. He has over 35 years of fundraising experience as a head of school, chief development officer and consultant. He is currently a Vice President and Partner with The Timothy Group in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has consulted with nearly 200 non-profit organizations over the past 20 years.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required by Wednesday before the Friday event. You will receive the link to the meeting the day before, on Thursday, from Kent Vanderwood. The ZOOM meeting will start 10 minutes before 8am for networking…..come join us a little early. Please contact Kent Vanderwood at kvanderwood@timothygroup.com with questions.
