Strategic Considerations for Individual Giving

During this AFP Breakfast, we will explore three giving vehicles donors prefer and the accounting and tax implications that make them so popular. Develop conversation language to help you become comfortable asking your donors about common non-cash gifts. Our discussion will include gifts of stocks, use of donor advised funds (DAFs), and Individual Retirement Accounts. An illustration of each type of gift will be provided including sample tax receipt language. This session is perfect for someone with beginning familiarity of the topic and those with more experience can prepare to share their tips.
