Navigating a Crisis
Friday, September 10, 2021 @ 7:50 am - 9:00 am
Crises happen. How we respond to them can make or break a brand, a business, even a career. Preparing a crisis plan and understanding how to address a crisis when it happens can help your team save the day.
Join local PR pros Craig Clark, of Clark Communications, and Chris Knape, of K Corner Consulting, for this special virtual session where they’ll review some of the basics of crisis communications, provide tips on how to be prepared, and share stories of how they have helped clients weather (or even head off) unexpected storms.
Craig is the owner of public relations consulting firm Clark Communications. He founded the firm in 2005 after a decade working in corporate communications and agency settings. He specializes in media relations, community engagement and social media. Over the course of his 26-year career, Craig has helped companies and nonprofits navigate some of the most unsettling crisis situations.
Chris started K Corner Consulting in 2019 after a 25 year career as a journalist, public relations agency executive and VP of Marketing and Communications for the company that created HopCat and Stella’s Lounge. His clients include the Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority, Rockford Brewing Co. and Max’s South Seas Hideaway.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required by Wednesday before the Friday event. You will receive the link to the meeting the day before, on Thursday, from Louise “Punky” Edison. The ZOOM meeting will start 10 minutes before 8am for networking…..come join us a little early. Please contact Louise “Punky” Edison, firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
