AFP West Michigan BOOK CLUB

Wednesday, October 28, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - Wednesday, December 16, 2020 @ 5:30 pm

We are excited to launch the inaugural AFP West Michigan Book Club. We have selected to feature a local West Michigan author and speaker, Shannon Cohen’s and her book Tough Skin, Soft Heart. This book is about leadership, personal and professional growth. We hope you find the book inspiring and uplifting during these difficult times.

How the Book Club Works?

The book club will consist of three virtual sessions. The first session will be a kick-off about the book and about the logistics of the book club. You do not need to have purchased the book or read anything for the first meeting. Then the next two sessions will be where participants will read the designated chapters before attending each meeting. A facilitator will be there to ask questions and guide the conversation along. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with topics and experiences they’re most interested in exploring further. At the final session, Shannon Cohen will join the discussion to share some inspiration and insight to the book club plus participate in the discussion.

Those who register are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions. This will allow attendees to have deeper conversations, form stronger relationships & explore ideas with the group that can be built upon over several sessions. You do not need to be a member of AFP but we encourage you to consider joining.

AFPWM Membership Exclusive

The first 50 AFPWM members who sign up for the book club will get their book for free. You must register at the link below by October 29th.
