Join a Committee

Whether you are new to the fundraising profession or a seasoned professional, consider joining an AFP committee. Committee participation is the ideal route for deeper involvement with the chapter and a path to potential leadership. Develop yourself personally and professionally, make new contacts and give back to the West Michigan philanthropy community!

Committees are always accepting new members – and we welcome individuals who are not current AFP members!

Mentorship Programs

West Michigan is home to a community of fundraisers and development officers who have seen tremendous growth in the nonprofit sector. To strengthen our profession and continue to build relationships in our field, AFPWM offers a Members-Only Mentorship Program.

Join non-profit professionals in intimate book discussions on topics like fundraising, philanthropy, leadership, and more. Engage with peers and share experiences in a unique setting.

The book club will be virtual on the second to the last Tuesday on each month. You can choose your time, 7 am, 12 pm, or 6 pm to join via Zoom. Additionally, we are planning some in-person networking events and a workshop to go along with few of the books.
